Registrants can view a livestream of Guelph Family Health Team's Calming Strategies Webinar at the Main Library (100 Norfolk Street). The Library and Guelph Family Health Team (FHT) are partnering to provide an opportunity for registrants who do not have access to computers or other personal technology devices to attend virtual programs in the Board Room at the Main Library.
Who is this workshop for?
Anyone experiencing stress or anxiety that is impacting their quality of life or sleep and seeking to learn ways to calm the mind and the body.
How long is the workshop?
Each session is 45 minutes.
What topics will be covered?
- Healthy vs unhealthy calming strategies
- We all seek ways to calm ourselves, often in unhealthy ways like food, alcohol, drugs, video games, Netflix, etc.
- Personal tools that are free and readily accessible to you
What will I gain from attending this workshop?
- Strategies that access the 'volume control’ of stress in your mind and in your body
- Acquire skills that may help you gain relief and feelings of calm
