Petra and the Nabateans: The Nabateans controlled major trade routes that spanned the Arabian Peninsula and the Southern Levant. Their capital, the rose-red city of Petra, was at the centre of this network that brought incense and spices to the Roman Empire. This lecture will examine the importance of the Nabateans and explore their unique capital city.
