Join us for a memorable evening that will inspire and uplift. Be prepared to laugh, cry (and possibly sing!) with one of Canada’s most resilient and gifted performers. For adults. Please register.
For more than 45 years, Sharon Hampson has been a music legend. As a member of “Sharon, Lois & Bram”, she performed for families across North America, producing over twenty three recordings, appearing in major concerts halls all over North America and receiving countless awards. When Lois left the group, Sharon and Bram carried on as a duo. Now that Bram has retired, Sharon and her daughter Randi, and Sharon’s grandsons, are sharing the music of Sharon, Lois & Bram with yet another generation of fans and friends.
Sharon has been honored for more than her music. She is a three time breast cancer survivor and in 2007 was recognized with a “Woman of Distinction” award for “fighting for the health of Canadian women in the breast cancer community and singing her way into the hearts of children.”
With Randi Hampson as co-producer, new albums have been recently released (Best of the Best Live, A Little Bit Country and Sharon & Bram and Friends ) along with three Penguin Random House picture books based on Sharon, Lois & Bram’s iconic songs. When she isn’t making music with her mother, Randi practices family law and heads the board of Gilda’s Toronto, helping people live while living with cancer.
Be a part of the Conversation with Sharon and Randi on Wednesday, May 1, at 7 p.m. in the Guelph Public Library's Main Library. This first event in the Friends of the Guelph Public Library Open Minds spring speaker series promises a fun time of stories, music, memories and life lessons that you won’t want to miss!
