Open Minds Series: Wilderness Adventures with Kevin Callan

Join the amazing Kevin Callan, a nationally respected canoeist, explorer, writer and filmmaker, for the Adventures (and misadventures) of a Wilderness Camper! For adults. Please register.

Do you want to impress someone in your life who loves to explore the great outdoors? Just drop Kevin Callan's name - he is truly "the canoer's canoer!" Maybe you've heard him on CBC or read one of his award-winning paddling books, which got him into a little trouble for sharing secret great spaces with more outdoor enthusiasts. We are pleased to welcome the man who has been made Patron Paddler for Paddle Canada, has recently won several filmmaking awards and was listed as one of the top 100 modern day explorers by the Canadian Geographical Society.

More than that, Kevin is a wonderful story teller. The Library has 17 different books by Kevin so be sure to check these out! Whether you are a seasoned outdoors person or like to learn about adventures from the comfort of your couch, Kevin will "wet" you appetite for the upcoming paddling and camping season!

Don't miss The Adventures (and misadventures) of a Wilderness Camper with Kevin Callan on Wednesday, May 22 at 7 p.m. in the Guelph Public Library's Main Library. This second event in the Friends of the Guelph Public Library Open Minds spring speaker series will be full of wild tales of the Great Canadian Outdoors!
