Many researchers use newspapers in the course of their genealogical research. In this workshop, we will identify the value and challenges of newspaper research for genealogical research purposes, explore which local papers are available at Guelph Public Library, including subscription tools such as ProQuest and Canadiana online, and learn about the three main vital statistical information found in newspapers.
