Love science fiction? Love the challenge of using the past to predict the future? Robert Sawyer is a master of this genre and will share his wisdom as a writer and a futurist. Please register. Adult.

What do science fiction writers know that we earthlings might not? Writer Robert Sawyer shares that they, “extrapolate from what we already know into what likely is going to happen”. Robert cannot be pigeonholed in his writing; he would rather offer people a variety like Forrest Gump’s famous box of chocolates, “you never know what you are going to get”. His most recent book is "The Oppenheimer Alternative" which is “a gathering of the brilliant minds after the first atomic bomb … to redeem themselves and save our planet from environmental catastrophe”.

About Robert J Sawyer:
Author of 24 published science fiction novels and winner of many writing awards, Robert J Sawyer is a Member of the Order of Canada and the Order of Ontario. The former acknowledges his role as a writer, mentor and contributions as a futurist.
