The Guelph Public Library and Community Living Guelph Wellington are celebrating International Day of Persons with Disabilities on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at the Main Library (100 Norfolk Street). This annual event reminds us of our responsibility to better understand disabilities and promote the rights and well-being of persons with disabilities in our community.
About 2024 International Day Of Persons With Disabilities (IDPD) and Key Goals and Call to Action:
The IDPD 2024 will be commemorated with a series of events around the world. The main event will be held at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. This event will bring together persons with disabilities, government representatives, and civil society organizations. It is an important opportunity to celebrate the contributions of persons with disabilities. It is also a time to reflect on the challenges that persons with disabilities face.
