Children bring your stuffed animal to the library for a doctor's checkup and become familiar with our healthcare system in a safe and fun environment. Drop in anytime between 9:30 a.m. and 12 p.m.

This Teddy Bear Clinic is hosted by medical students from McMaster University, Michael G. DeGroote, School of Medicine, Waterloo Regional Campus! Children will role play medical scenarios with their plush teddy bears (Don't forget to bring your favourite plush animal!) Routine doctor’s visits and hospital activities such as X-rays, vaccines and medications will be highlighted. Also included in this event are health promotion stations such as dental care, physical well-being and hand hygiene.

The purpose of the Teddy Bear Clinic is to alleviate any fears children might have with doctors, hospitals or medical procedures by providing them the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the healthcare system in a safe and fun environment! The Teddy Bear Clinic will also help kids explore any fears they might have surrounding their own illness or that of a loved one.
