In this two-part workshop series, learn how to craft your own memoir and develop your writing skills with local author, Nikki Everts. Please Register. Adults.
Within a relaxed atmosphere of mutual respect, participants will explore different memoir types, learn how memoirists can “hook” their readers, build their writing skills, and take next steps in developing their own memoirs.
While not required, participants will have opportunities to read their writing to the group and receive positive feedback. This benefits both listeners and writers: by listening carefully for the gems in another’s prose, listeners gain inspiration for their own writing, and by learning what works in their texts, writers can build on their successes.
There will be a 15-minute break midway during each session.
Participants will have homework to complete for use during the second session.
