S.T.E.M.: The Wonders of Waste

Join City of Guelph staff for some good, clean, hands-on learning about what happens to your waste – from curbside cart to a brand new life! Grades 1 to 6. Register each child.

Have you ever wondered why it’s so important to sort your garbage? Or maybe you’ve been curious about what happens to your pop can after its collected? Join City of Guelph staff for some good, clean, hands-on learning about what happens to your waste – from curbside cart to a brand new life! Practice being a “good sort” with our interactive activities. You’ll also get a peek into the City’s Material Recovery Facility and Organic Waste Processing Facility!

For children in Grades 1 to 6. Please register each child attending.

Health and Safety Protocols:

• Do not attend this program if you currently have or recently had a fever, cough, shortness of breath, or are feeling unwell.
• Keep your hands clean. Hand sanitizer will be provided throughout the library and should be used upon entry to this program.
