Local Author Storytime: Too Cold Marigold

Discover a new local author in this monthly storytime series. For families. Please register.

Each month we will feature a local children's author or illustrator for a special storytime and craft. This month, author Sharon van der Laak will be reading her picture book, "Too Cold Marigold". 

Book description:

Marigold tunes into her body as she explores finding the right clothing to get her body warm… but not too warm! Marigold’s two moms and little brother look on while Marigold tries on different layers to figure it out. "Too Cold Marigold" is perfect for kids learning to dress for the weather, families with two moms and anyone wishing to add more representation of LGBTQ+ families to their children's book collections.

Health and Safety Protocols:

• Do not attend this program if you currently have or recently had a fever, cough, shortness of breath or are feeling unwell.
• Keep your hands clean. Hand sanitizer will be provided throughout the library and should be used upon entry to this program.
