Weekly meetings will focus on youth engagement, discussion based learning, independent growth and development, self esteem, wellness and equipping girls with tools to become change-makers in life.
Indigo Girls Group is an organization run by young women for young women and fosters a safe, non-judgmental and supportive space to learn and engage together as growing young women. Through diverse mediums Indigo Girls aim to educate and create discussion surrounding current societal themes for girl's locally and globally. Weekly meetings will focus on youth engagement, discussion based learning, independent growth and development, self esteem, mental and physical wellness and equipping girls with tools to become change-makers in life. Many topics will be discussed over the twelve week session including: gender barriers, self-care, the role of women globally, media and advertising, environment, mental well-being, women in STEM, power and pride, and much more. Indigo Girls Group is suitable for girls in grades 5 to 8.
